Description

Second Chance is a stunning 35’ cruiser stern narrowboat in immaculate condition both inside and out. She was built by Aintree Boats and is one of their popular Beetle models. She was built in 2019 so is only 5 years old and has been loved since launch. She had a full survey in 2021.
She offers a surprising amount of space for a smaller boat and is currently a highly specced comfortable liveaboard.
The Beta 25 sits under the cruiser stern deck in a very clean engine bay. The large battery bank and gas locker are in the engine bay also. The pramhood was new in 2022, and the rear deck also has a bike rack and a twin tub washing machine.
Steps lead down into the saloon. This houses a reclining couch (storage under) with cupboards and a TV opposite. There are good sized cupboards either side of the steps, with one housing the electrics; a 3.0kva Victron inverter/charger, the galvanic isolator, the new MPPT controller for the 700w solar panels and the isolation switches. A Victron battery monitor and Sony Blutooth stereo are in here also.
The galley follows and offers a good amount of storage, a 12v fridge (with icebox), a two burner gas hob and an oven & grill. The sink is set into lovely stone worktops and a large bank of drawers sits opposite.
A starboard side corridor leads to the bathroom. Through a sliding door, this has a shower, a ceramic basin, an electric composting loo and is a ‘wet room’ arrangement.
The large forward cabin is the bedroom and has a fixed double bed. There is a drop down dining table attached to the gunwale with two stools under the gunwale. There is a large double wardrobe at the end of the bed, with a Salamander solid fuel stove opposite.
Steps lead up onto the cratch covered well deck.
She was sand blasted and Epoxy 2 packed at launch, and re-blacked (Epoxy 2 pk) in May 2024.The engine was last serviced in September 2023 and will be re-serviced at sale. She is centrally heated by an Eberspacher Airtronic system, and water is heated by the engine or an immersion heater. The water tank is stainless steel. All the lighting is LED, including under gunwale dimmable mood lighting.
