Description

Evangeline is a charming 40’ semi-trad narrowboat, built in 1992 by Colecraft. She is fitted out in Pine T& T with laminate flooring and has a cosy cottage feel. She has a suprising amount of storage for a boat of her size and versatile sleeping arrangements and her current owners have made a number of good improvements in preparing her for sale.
The comfortable saloon is entered through the well deck. This includes an L-shaped dinette which converts to provide a double berth, the Suffolk solid fuel stove, a demountable table neatly stored under the gunwales and some useful storage. The saloon also houses the 20” flatscreen TV and Kenwood radio and CD player.
Next comes the galley which is situated on the port side. The gas hob, grill and oven are a Vanette 495. The 12v Shoreline fridge (with ice box) sits underneath the laminated worktops. There is a large sink and drainer and on the starboard side a hatch with roof hatch and steps provides plenty of additional light and air.
The off corridor bathroom is also on the port side, entered by an unusual folding door. The loo is a Porta Potti and was new in 2020. The shower is over a shower tray with shower curtain and there is a ceramic basin sitting over a vanity unit.
The stern cabin is highly versatile as it can be used as a single bedroom, a storage area or both! There is a single bunk underneath a couple of cupboards and a small wardrobe. Additional storage is available underneath the bed, in another good size cupboard and on a set of shelves.
Steps lead up to the sociable semi-trad deck with seats/lockers on either side. The Kubota Nanni 45hp engine is easily accessed underneath the deck and was fully serviced in August 2020. The lighting is all LED, the two 110ah domestic batteries were new in 2020 and she was last blacked in August 2020.
She is fitted with a cratch cover and pramhood both of which were new in 2020.
