NARROW BOAT LEGACY

*UPDATE*
Legacy has received 2 Pac Epoxy to hull and repaint of gunnels including tunnel bands. Anodes still in great condition so not replaced at this time (see photos) Full water system service including new water pump, new accumulater and filter as of end of May 2024.

We are selling our beautiful family home, Legacy. We have owned her for 7 years and refitted internally professionally spray foamed rewired .We are incredibly sad to see her go but with an ever growing family we need to find a bigger home and hope that someone can enjoy her as much as we have!

2024 June blacked 2 pac epoxy and aluminium Primer - Jotun 90 won't need to come out of the water for 4-6 years. Full repaint of hull and gunnels. Anodes in brilliant condition.

ENGINE
170L diesel tank with lockable filler

The engine is a bombproof Barrus Shire 45 hp fitted in 2006. She has been regularly maintained by ourselves, 6 monthly and also professionally and will come with a fresh service from Tooley's Boatyard April( new belts, filters, liquids etc) New engine mounts in 2019. PRM150 Gearbox. Keel Cooled radiator and silencer on the exhaust
This is a lovely engine, nice and quiet and easy to maintain, with easy access to the engine bay under back deck boards. She has cruised us all over the country in my ownership and handles well on rivers such as the Thames, Weaver, Nene and the Lea as well as easy solo handling on the canal.


ELECTRICS
The Electrics were fully rewired in 2019 easily accessible and are all 12v for low power usage.
There are 240v dual plug sockets and usb charging on board. Recent electrical work carried out by Kate Boats, Warwick and Tooley's Boatyard.
Dual Alternators 75a leisure and new(2023) 50a starter.

Galvanic Isolator/Immersion/shoreline ( Fitted Tooleys 2024)
Solar 3 panels 650W (OnBoardSolar 2019)
1600W Victron Multiplus inverter ( 2024)enabling you to switch between 240v/12v/shoreline effortlessly.
We have found this more than enough power to live continually onboard as a family of 3 and WFH also.
12v Shoreline tall fridge freezer can be run all year round.
12v Spotlights throughout the boat.
Huawei b535 12v router, Pontyn Omni direct arial and magnetic pole gives brilliant signal inside the boat pretty much across the country for wifi.


HEATING
Legacy has 3 heating/Hot Water Systems giving ample 24hr hot water and heating
All newly fitted since 2019.
This consists of a Surcal 55ll vertical twin coil calorifier, this produces hot water in 20 mins from the engine being run, instantly at the touch of a button via the immersion if plugged into shoreline or via the Eberspacher D5 diesel heater. This is set to come on 4 times a day and also heats the 4 radiators and heated towel rail, so we have a warm and toasty boat all year round with endless hot water!
Morso Squirrel Dual fuel Burner in the centre of the boat keeps us toasty in winter. Stainless steel chimney from the Little chimney Co.


GAS
2 x 13kg gas bottle in back locker as you enter the boat with easy access.
This is purely for cooking.


INTERIOR
As you enter the boat, there is a small office /porch room for wet gear and dogs which is very handy in the winter. This also houses the electric cupboard,calorifier and has removable ply and ash storage steps for shoes etc


Legacy is spray foamed throughout, lined in wood T&G and painted. There has been professional carpentry by Boathouse carpentry, Tom Whitehead and Kate Boats as well as owner.
Wooden planked floors that can be removed easily for access to the bilge which is always dry as she's so well insulated. The windows are single hoppers, have all been removed/resealed and lined in solid oak by MD woodtech and finished in matt Osmo oil. Port holes have oak shutters and copper curtain poles throughout. There is a large swan hatch lined in Ash in the kitchen.
The kitchen is shaker style kitchen with full size vintage Armitage shank porcelain belfast sink and vintage Brass taps
There is ample storage and open shelves also.
CDA Full Size Gas/electric fan oven and cast iron CDA Separate Gas Hob.
Antique pine cupboard with more storage and worktop.
12V Whale Gulper and Sump box under sink with extra plumbing for washing machine etc.


Open plan living room with freestanding furniture so plenty of space to make your own layout. She comes with a L shaped dinette that converts to a spare 4ft double bed and drawer storage built by Boat house carpentry 2023.


Walk through bathroom
Shower 800 x 800 square shower tiled in recycled glass tiles from claybrook tiles and brass and copper tap fitting. Under shower 12v whale gulper pump. Tiled floor. Pink Concrete basin. Small vanity unit. Compoost Waterless toilet. There is a large swan hatch window lined in White ash in the bathroom.


The bedroom is at the bow of the boat and has a fixed built-in storage bed (king size mattress) built in 2023 with a huge amount of storage. There is an oak lined wardrobe with shelves and a small area we currently have a cot bed in which makes for a very large bedroom. At the end of the bed are double Bow doors lined in Ash and open onto a very large bow deck (new deck and 700L SS water tank which we drink from underneath which last approximately 2-4 weeks usage)
The 12V Water pump parmax and accumulator and water filter is fitted next to the tank under the bed in a large storage area under the well deck.


In the front of the bow is a separate locker that again can be used for storage/coal/gas etc.
