Cocktail of Dreams is a lovely 62’ Traditional stern narrowboat built in 2007 by Kingsground narrowboats on an Alexander shell. She is nicely fitted out and in very good condition both inside & out. She is well equipped for a liveaboard.
The hull was grit blasted and Zingered at build, and she was last blacked in 2018. There is also a full survey from October 2017 (available in the office).
The well deck is a good size, has a glazed cratch board and a cratch cover. The 580 litre stainless steel water tank is housed under. Seats / lockers surround it.
Steps lead through glazed stable doors into the saloon. This has a Villager solid fuel stove, two super comfy armchairs and a TV (with self seeking satellite).
The Pullman style dinette follows with seating for four. This has storage under and converts into a spare double. A side hatch opposite offers light and views whilst dining.
The galley is next. Utilities comprise of a domestic sized oven, grill and four burner gas hob, a 12v fridge with icebox, sink with drainer and oodles of storage space. A houdini hatch over adds lights and air.
The walk through bathroom is next. The loo is a macerator pump out to a stainless steel holding tank, and the shower cubicle is tiled with a glass bi-fold door. The basin is ceramic, and the room has both a radiator and a heated towel rail.
A door leads into the bedroom. The fixed double is 6’4” long and 4’ wide and has cupboards over. At the foot of the bed is a unit with shelf, draw and cupboard and a large wardrobe. There is also a drawer under the bed.
The engine room follows. This has another houdini hatch over and a side hatch, so plenty of light and air. The engine is the ever reliable Beta Tug JD3. All of the electrics are neatly arranged in here.
The rear cabin is a really useful and practical utility room. There is a washing machine & tumble dryer in here (with plenty of storage under) and further cupboards & shelves. The batteries sit under the floor. Access to the rear deck is probabaly one of the easiest for a trad stern that I have seen.
Propulsion is aided by a Vetus bowthrutser, she has 670w of solar power through an MPPT controller and 230v on board is from either landline hook up or the 2.5kw Victron inverter. 12v is from the large bank of 5 domestic batteries and most of the lighting is LED. She is centrally heated by a diesel fired Webasto system and hot water is supplied from either the engine, the webasto or an immersion heater.
A lovely boat, ready to go.
