Reference: | 2082 Miss Matty |
Miss Matty is a charming 60’ traditional stern narrowboat built in 1995 by Peter Nicholls. She had a hull survey carried out in February 2019 at the same time as 2px epoxy blacking, and the engine was serviced in Autumn 2023.
The cratch covered well deck is 4’9”, with a large storage locker bench, and access to more storage in the bow.
Steps lead down through an off-centre door, and glazed forward bulk heads, into the 13’2” saloon. Here are 2x comfortable arm chairs, a couple of freestanding cupboards, and a Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove.
Next is the 7’0” galley, with a Thetford oven, grill & 4 burner gas hob, 12v Shoreline fridge with icebox, stainless steel sink, a folding table with 2 chairs, and a couple of under counter cupboards. A starboard side hatch brings in additional light and fresh air.
A bi-folding door leads into the 8’10” bedroom, with a fixed 6’4” x 4’0” double berth. There are drawers under, a shelf over, and large wardrobe to the foot end.
The bathroom follows (5’6”) featuring a bath with shower over, drop through pump out loo, and porcelain sink recessed into a cupboard.
A traditional engine room follows, with the Gardner 2LW engine taking pride of place. Side hatches either side bring in additional light and fresh air.
Following, the 4’11” aft cabin features single berths either side, with storage under and cupboards over. This could make a very cosy reading nook for crew, whilst cruising along. Steps lead out onto the stern deck.
She is centrally heated by a Webasto Thermo Top E diesel fired system connected to 5 radiators and 2 fin rads. Hot water is via the Webasto, engine, or immersion.
12v power is via 4x 110ah domestics, with a separate starter, topped up by 200w of solar with a Tracer MPPT solar charge controller. 240v power is via a Mastervolt Combi 1500w inverter/charger, or landline hookup.
Lighting on board is LED throughout.
She is ideal for liveaboard life, and would make somebody a lovely floating home.
