Girl Ia is a stunning 58’ semi-trad stern narrowboat built in 2014 by Tim Tyler and fitted out by Blisworth Tunnel Narrowboats. She has a beautiful cottagy feel, utilising reclaimed oak timber throughout the boat for a high quality finish.
She was last blacked in November 2024, and the engine was last serviced in October 2023.
The cratch covered well deck (4’2”) houses the 700L capacity water tank in the forward locker, which doubles up as external seating.
Steps lead down through glazed forward stable doors into the 15’6” saloon. Here there is a fixed bench seat, which converts to a spare double, a couple of built in cupboards and freestanding table (on wheels). There is also a 240v LG Smart TV and 2 speakers. The Refleks diesel stove heats the radiator and towel rail via a back burner, two pigeon boxes and a glazed side hatch provide additional light and fresh air.
The cottage style galley (8’0”) comes next, with a full size Spinflo oven, hob and grill, the 240v Russell Hobbs fridge freezer, solid oak worktops, a Belfast sink and all the storage you need.
The 6’0” bathroom follows, with a large walk-in shower, a ceramic wash basin on top of an oak vanity unit, and new Compoost loo.
The bedroom is in the stern, with a fixed 6’2” x 4’0” double berth which lifts on gas struts for easy access to the storage under. There is a Candy washer/drier in the cupboard under the aft steps.
Steps lead up onto the semi-trad cockput, with the Barrus Shire 40 engine housed below. Lockers either side provide additional storage.
12v power is supplied by a bank of 4x 115ah domestics, with a separate 115ah starter, topped up by 260w of solar with a Victron MPPT solar charge controller. 240v power is via a Victron Mulitplus 3kw inverter/charger, or landline.
Lighting on board is LED throughout.
She is centrally heated by the Reflexs backboiler, and hot water is via the back boiler, engine or immersion.
She has everything you need whether for a holiday boat, a live aboard or extended cruising. Her new owners will surely fall quickly and totally in love with her!
